ภาษาทางการ
ภาษาทางการ หรือ ภาษาราชการ คือภาษาที่ได้รับสถานะพิเศษในแต่ละประเทศ รัฐ หรือเขตการควบคุมอื่น ๆ โดยทั่วไป ศัพท์ "ภาษาราชการ" ไม่ได้หมายถึงภาษาที่ใช้โดยประชาชนหรือประเทศ แต่เป็นภาษาที่ใช้โดยรัฐบาลของตน (เช่น ตุลาการ นิติบัญญัติ หรือการบริหาร)
มีประเทศที่มีภาษาราชการถึง 178 ประเทศ โดยในจำนวนนี้มี 101 ประเทศที่มีภาษาราชการมากกว่าหนึ่งภาษา รัฐบาลอิตาลีจัดให้ภาษาอิตาลีเป็นภาษาทางการใน ค.ศ. 1999 ในขณะที่บางประเทศ (เช่นสหรัฐ, เม็กซิโก และออสเตรเลีย) ไม่ประกาศภาษาราชการในระดับชาติโดยนิตินัย
